The course will be 10 hours and will link into the CSLA (Community Sports Leaders Award) model. Those with the Leadership Certificate are not regarded as competent to run sessions on their own for anything other than small groups. This MUST be under the supervision of a qualified Hockey Coach.

COACHING UPDATE

Uk Coaching Certificate - England Hockey is working towards endorsement for The U.K. Coaching Certificate (UKCC) will start in January 2007.  I am pleased to report that England Hockey is already ahead of many sports in the development of coach awards and the Human Resources required to deliver and assess the awards.

The National tutor and assessor training has given hockey a good start and Hockey was chosen to pilot the new National Coach Educator Award delivered by scUK with six senior tutors.  All tutors and assessors in every sport will receive training to be accredited to deliver coach awards in their sport.  10 Senior Coach Educators have now attended the Coach Educator Course. All other tutors will have the opportunity to access modules of this course from later in the summer 2005 in their regions.
