It is with great sadness that we have to report the
loss of our longstanding Secretary, Tony Powley, who passed away in
October. However his name will continue
to be associated with Wirral as his family have donated an annual trophy to be
awarded to the winner of our Primary School Competition and his family
connection is to be even further maintained with his son, Andy taking over as
our secretary.
Primary Schools
The development continues apace with an increase in
the number of schools taking part in this year’s competition. The winners were Pensby Primary and Christ
the King. We expect more clusters to
come onstream next year.
Secondary Schools
Here again new schools took part in both the league
and cup competitions. The league has not
yet finished but the Cup finals results were:

Redcourt and Kingsmead represented Wirral Borough and
both won their respective competitions.
