Disciplinary Report
2007-08
This season has seen and overall increase in the number of reported incidents as covered by the EH Code of Discipline. These cover Red Cards, Matchday Misconduct offences together with the Disrepute Charge.
The number of Red cards issued to players form Cheshire clubs totalled fifteen with one Matchday Misconduct charge and one reported Disrepute charge. This offence was later appealed to the North who upheld the clubs appeal. However the player in question had served all bar seven of the 60 day suspension awarded.
Three Red Card offences were issued to North Wales based clubs, who do come under the jurisdiction of Cheshire. Two of the Red Cards were awarded to the same player. The second card was awarded only six weeks after the same player had returned from a 60 day suspension. This now meant his second suspension was for 120 days.
The final red card of the season saw the offending player first receiving a green card along with the rest of his defence for arguing and the decision of a short corner. He then received a yellow for walking of his line to further voice his disapproval with the umpire. He then acquired a Red Card for threatening to re-shape the Umpires facial features not once but twice. He received a 90 day suspension for violence offered to an umpire.
I am pleased to state that no Red Card offences were initiated with any of our Ladies sides in Cheshire.
