The President formally welcomed everyone to the 5th Annual General Meeting of the Association and gave thanks to Bowdon for their hospitality especially to Bill Ball.
Minutes of the last Annual General Meeting
The minutes of the Annual General meeting held on 24th May 2006 were agreed as a true record.
Presidents Opening remarks
Congratulations were given to all who had achieved honours during the 2006-07 season particularly to Bowdon mens 1st team and Poynton Ladies 1st team.
Thanks to all the Committee who have worked tirelessly to ensure the smooth running of hockey in the Cheshire County.
A presentation was made to Janice Tasho who is now a FIH Umpire, well done to her.
Cheshire were the hosts this year of the North County Championships for the Ladies and Sale were victorious on the day. They were presented with a shield and certificate.
The County Association are keen to acknowledge the clubs who have attained the Club 1st accreditation and each club who had been successful this season were given a cheque for £100 and a certificate of achievement. They were Timperley, Sale, Bowdon and Deeside Ramblers.
Youth honours this season that need to be recognised are U18 GB Nationals Laura Evans from Poyton who has played England U18, Ross Cox represented Wales at U21 as did Hannah Richardson from Poynton.
GB Squad for Youth Olympics has representation from several members of Cheshire clubs. Alastair Brogden, Charlotte Hartley and Sam Quek.

Hon. Treasurer's Report
Please to report that the accounts are in good order.
The attached accounts were then outlined in detail.
The accounts are yet to be audited.
Resolved that:
a) the statement of accounts for the period to 31st March 2007 be agreed
(proposed Bill Ball/seconded Chris Robinson – carried unanimously)
b) affiliation fees not to be increased for 2007/08
(proposed Chris Robinson/seconded Bill Harvey – carried unanimously)
c) New auditors to be appointed to audit the accounts Charles Elphick
(proposed new committee to approach)
Reports
Election of President and Deputy President for Season 2007/2008
Resolved: that Julia Harries be elected President and Chris Todd be elected Vice President for 2007/08
(proposed by Executive/ seconded: Louise Richardson – carried unanimously)
Election of Vice Presidents
Resolved: that Howard Dodds, Artie Senior and Sandra Littler be elected Vice Presidents for their significant contribution to hockey in Cheshire

Cheshire Youth Games are on Saturday 23rd June at Stanney High School – Sam Quek to be in attendance as a role model to aspire to.
Euro Nations are to be held at Belle Vue in August – great event which everyone should endeavour to attend .
Draw for the Men’s Cup will be done in the next week or two due to lack of entries at present.

Thanks also given to Elaine Beech for all her hard work in keeping the CHA at the forefront of hockey in the North.
