Cheshire Hockey Association Report to the AGM 2007

NORTH WEST HOCKEY LEAGUE 2006-07

Once again an outstanding season, with the majority of the matches being played on their scheduled dates, except for two weekends, when the Weather conditions (Fog and Snow) hit the League programme, especially on Sat 10th Feb when the League programme was hit badly, resulting in the League season once again being extended by one week.

Old Caldeians 1’s and Bowdon 9’s withdrew from the League, prior to the commencement of the League programme.

The NWHL Rules were ratified (with some minor amendments) by the North Competitions Committee 1st November 2006.

There is one rule amendment for 2007-08 season, which is the England Hockey Rule on Under 13’s playing Adult Hockey Leagues:

NWHL Rule 2.1  Only bona-fide members of a League Club who are 13 years of age or older on 1st January of the season shall be entitled to play in League matches.
