Data Usage and Privacy

All personal details (that is name, postal address, telephone number, email address) displayed on this site are for use in the administration of the Cheshire Hockey Association, its sub committees, in particular and NW hockey in general and to assist in the arranging and playing of hockey games. The source information which is held in an off line database may be made available in paper or electronic form to hockey leagues and national/regional/county officials as is deemed appropriate by the relevant committee.

Under no circumstances should the data or associated facilities be used for any commercial or business purposes.

In order to protect the data from being gathered by search engines, spam harvesters or misused by any malware on an infected client PC the data is stored and processed as follows:

The data is stored in encrypted form on both the server and any client PC using it.

The data is dynamically decrypted when it is displayed and is not stored, in clear form, on the client PC (eg in the browser cache)

Downloadable data (eg in a word document, a pdf file or a spreadsheet) is stored as is and the site parameters are set such that search engines should not index or follow links from either pdf or doc files

Pages which have been created by simple conversion to HTML which may contain names etc, such as minutes, are addressed via an indirect link ( ie one coded in java script)

However the information is still generally available to anyone who come to this site. Therefore if anyone wants their details removed or reduced will they please let me know via my email address on the home page
